Problems and Conditions Custom Orthotics can help
- Shin Splints
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Stress Fractures
- Unequal Leg Lengths
- Ankle Pain
- Knee Pain (especially medial)
- Hip Pain
- Lower Back Pain
- Neck Pain
Our body will constantly adapt to whatever situation it faces, and when our foundation is unstable, our knees, hips, and spine will try to compensate for the problem. Playing sports, standing for hours at work, going for a walk, or jogging with instability or imbalance in your feet will create instability and imbalance in your spine as well. This leads to pain in your knees, back, and neck as they try to function while being out of balance.
Custom Orthotics vs Over-The-Counter Orthotics
Buying an over-the-counter orthotics ignores the fact that everyone is different, has different physical problems, and needs a custom solution designed to work specifically for them. There is an inherent compromise built into every generic orthotic because they are not designed for you or your specific needs. They are designed to try and help as many people as possible with the same solution.
This is why we have teamed up with Foot Levelers. Using their 3D scanning system, we are able to provide the solution that is specifically designed to help your exact problem. Custom orthotics work to correct any imbalance you have, improving weight distribution, balance, reducing pain, and improving function.
Foot Levelers Combined with Chiropractic Care
A recent study [“Shoe Orthotics for the Treatment of Chronic Low Back Pain: A Randomized Controlled Trial” published in the Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation] proved that custom Foot Levelers custom orthotics were able to improve low back pain by 34.5%. However, when combined with chiropractic care, low back pain was reduced by 40.4% — a significant improvement.
The study also measured the improvement in overall function. Here, chiropractic care almost doubled the improvement of custom orthotics. Using custom Foot Levelers orthotics, function was improved by 18.9%. But when combined with chiropractic care, function improved by 32.3%.
Improved Performance
Another study, published in The Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics, showed that golfer wearing Foot Levelers’ custom orthotics had improved performance on the golf course compared to their game when they were not wearing orthotics.
The golfer experienced these improvements in their game:
Increased club head velocity of 3-5 mph
Hit the ball 9-15 years further
Improved their body alignment, proprioception
Had reduced fatigue
