Autopsies Prove Chiropractic Works

Why were patients under chiropractic care or osteopathic spinal care able to restore their health without surgery or medications? This intrigued Dr. Henry Windsor in 1921 to the extent that he put together a study to determine how this was possible.

The University of Pennsylvania arranged for Dr. Windsor to conduct an experiment using 75 human cadavers and 22 cat cadavers. The goal of the experiment was to find out if there was any connection between the health of the spine and any diseased organs. The 97 cadavers had a total of 221 diseased organs.

The results of the experiment were striking. It showed a 95.9% correlation between diseased organs and misalignment of the spine. This means he was able to tie 212 of the 221 diseased organs directly to a spinal problem.

The results of the experiments were striking. Here are some examples of what Dr. Windsor discovered.

Misalignments in the upper thoracic spine (T1-5):

  • Lung Disease: 26 cases with lung disease had a 100% correlation between the diseased lung and spinal misalignments of the upper thoracic spine.
  • Heart Disease: 20 cases with heart disease had a 100% correlation between the diseased heart and misalignments in the upper five thoracic vertebrae.

Misalignments in the mid-thoracic spine (T5-9):

  • Gallstones: 100% correlation verified between the diseased gallbladder and the nerves controlling the gallbladder. All 5 gallstone cases had misalignments in the mid-thoracic spine.
  • Liver Disease: 100% correlation verified between the diseased liver and the nerves controlling the liver. All 13 liver cases had misalignments in the mid-thoracic spine.
  • Pancreas: 100% correlation verified between the diseased pancreas and the nerves controlling the pancreas. All 3 pancreas cases had misalignments in the mid-thoracic spine.
  • Spleen: 100% correlation verified between the diseased spleen and the nerves controlling the spleen. All 11 spleen cases had misalignments in the mid-thoracic spine.
  • Stomach Disease: 100% correlation verified between the diseased stomach and the nerves controlling the stomach. All 9 stomach cases had misalignments in the mid-thoracic spine.
Internal Organs and Chiropractic Care

Misalignments in Upper Lumbar spine (L1-3)

  • Prostate and Bladder disease: All 8 cases showed misalignments in the upper-lumber spine and a 100% correlation between the diseased organ and the nerves controlling that organ.
  • Uterus: Both cases of uterine conditions showed a misalignment in the L2 vertebra and a 100% correlation between the diseased uterus and the nerves controlling the uterus.

The results of Dr. Windsor’s experiments in 1921 show misalignments in the spine, known as subluxations, can directly affect the health and function of your internal organs.

Chiropractic care does more than bring relief from pain. Chiropractic care improves the function and health of your internal organs by restoring the proper nerve energy to your internal organ. For more than a century, chiropractors have been adjusting patients, correcting subluxations (misalignments) in the spine, and restoring health, energy, and function.
